Helping Households Secure Stable Housing
Mission: To provide a rapid-response to help households that have sustainable income and are ready to live independently in housing.
Our Model
When funding is available, the Linda Fund program serves Ada County. Each eligible household is supported by our Housing Support team who will help them identify housing options, complete a budget, and advocate on their behalf with landlords.
Move-In Cost Assistance
Each participant may receive assistance with their deposit and/or first month’s rent, depending on need.
Participants must apply for Linda Fund assistance. Call our hotline or visit walk-in hours to begin!
“I just started crying because I was just so excited to get my son out of the shelter. It was just really a big blessing to get out of the shelter and into my own place.”

You will be given our application that outlines the specifics of the documentation required. This includes proof of income, proof of homelessness, a completed budget, and property information. Once received and approved, we schedule an inspection with your property to ensure your unit is safe and meets federal guidelines. When all those requirements are met, we will hand checks to your property manager!
-
We receive grants from the government to be able to provide these funds. Those grants have specific documentation requirements that we have to meet in order to keep receiving funding to help our community.
-
The budget is to ensure you will be able to cover all of your expenses and rent at the same time. We want to avoid situations where housing is unsustainable and leads to an eviction, because that would make future housing difficult. If your budget ends up in the negative, it doesn’t mean you’re denied from Linda Fund support. It just means we need to look for a place that better fits your budget!
-
No.
Linda Fund is a first month’s rent and deposit program only. All other fees, utilities, and ongoing rent are your responsibility.
-
After the unit has been inspected and we’ve given payment to your landlord, your landlord will provide you with a move in date!
-
By signing a lease and paying the deposit, you have entered into a lease (contract) with your landlord. That means you are then housed and no longer meet the “experiencing homelessness” requirement of the program.
-
We only assist those who are at or below 60% of the Area Median Income as set by the City of Boise. The team will review your income with your household size to determine if you qualify.
