Street Outreach

Ada County Connect’s Street Outreach team operates as a part of Our Path Home—Ada County’s public-private partnership of more than 40 agencies working to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. The Outreach team prioritizes people experiencing unsheltered homelessness: on the street, in a vehicle, or a place not meant for habitation. The team works to connect people to emergency shelter, services, and housing. Rather than waiting for people to come to them, Outreach staff meet people wherever they are beginning by building relationships and taking time to understand each person’s story, needs, and goals.

From basic needs support and housing navigation and counseling/treatment referrals, the team works to bridge the gap between the street and stability, showing up in the community during extreme heat, harsh winters, and everything in between.
